Understand that he/she is a customer at your restaurant and has come to enjoy their time, food, company and space. Be a professional and not a fan. Clicking pictures and asking for autographs is also a big no and this should be understood by all the employees.

These high profile guests are busy so don’t make them wait for things like parking or getting their table. Don’t make them wait for their food or their room. No customers should wait for a long time to get their service but be extra careful with high profile customers.

Let them know that they are special and welcoming them with cocktails or an exit dessert goes a long way. Give them more than what they expect from you. Some complimentary appetizers or goodies is also a good option. You can invest in pleasing these guests as it’s a win-win marketing scenario for your restaurant by creating a good enough buzz.

Everyone gets excited when they see a celebrity but you as a restaurant have to protect your customer even if it’s from other customers. Don’t let them destroy your customer’s privacy as that might result in him/her never visiting you again.

You have to avoid disappointing your high profile guest at all cost and to ensure that you should put your best employees to service them. Do not put the trainees on the job as the service provided to them should be flawless.
